Road rock bed 2019

This tiny bed is right at the corner of our driveway and the street. That big rock was there when we moved in, and the hostas behind it were too.
May 2019 - planting the hardy geranium there.
I also planted that peony there this year too, 2019.
From the UofM master gardener plant sale

Now in July, the hardy geranium is still there off to the right.  I don't know what that large plant is in the middle - whether that is a weed or something I planted! It looks most like a weed to me, but I will see if it flowers this year... if not, out it goes.

The peony is also doing poorly.  Its leaves have brown spots, and it hasn't really grown much. It is strange as the peonies on the other side of the driveway are thriving!

I could just move some hostas to in front of this rock, but I think this is a great place for pretty flowers since people can see it from the street.  Now just to figure out what will grow here!
