Spring - April 2020

This spring has gone by in a whirlwind and I missed just about all of it. Thanks to coronavirus and all that went along with that. :(

I snapped a few pictures here and there in the yard, but really nature has just taken its course this spring.

Some deer in the yard on April 5. The rhubarb is just starting to come up in the garden. Not much else leading out yet.

From April 7, plants just starting to pop out of the ground. Primarily daffodils, my hyacinths, irises, and peonies just making their way above ground.

Then April 12th, our last snow of the year!

April 18th, the snow has melted! Daffodil in bloom and peonies, decorative onions, and irises starting to come up in the driveway garden bed.  The general wood mulch I have used elsewhere disintegrates with time, but these cedar chips have been there since I mulched this bed when I created this in 2016. I won't be using these again for mulch.

April 25th, spring is here. The daffodils are in bloom in the retaining wall bed. Mike and I planted these together a few years ago after the new wall went in.

April 26th, the fruit trees are just starting to get some tiny buds on them. They are still alive!  Success!
