May continues like April where I haven't had a chance to do anything out in the garden or yard. Except that Mike and I have worked together on pulling garlic mustard a few evenings when I got home early enough, and Mike has worked in this during the day since he is working from home. That was excellent!! The highest priority is getting it out of the garden. It has really taken over in the wilderness part of my garden.
Apart from this, things are coming up out of the ground with no help from me. These pictures are from May 3, the day we went to Mass in the parking lot staying in our cars.
The bleeding heart and lungwort are coming up and are doing well. And so is the hound.
The fruit trees we planted are budding.
I forgot what this plant is, but it is doing well in the front patio garden bed and is very pretty.
Peony coming up in front yard garden bed.
Driveway garden bed. My biggest and best peony is up and looks great.
Retaining wall bed with daffodils still blooming.
Hostas coming up by the driveway rock bed.
The peony here is coming up! I like the bright red stalks - this is the only peony variety I have that that has the red stalks. Maybe it will grow this year!
My new lily garden bed.
Possibly a tulip?
So interesting seeing these new flowers I have never planted before coming up.
A lily sprouting! They look so unusual. First lilies of our garden.
Another interesting looking lily.
